Blog post #6-references
In my 6th blog post I will be talking about references from movies that help make my decision on why I want this to be my topic. By having references, it allowed me to really try to picture what i would like to add to my film and also help me lay out the film by seeing good examples of my topic/genre. I think this is a huge advantage by being able to see and what other people with the same idea add their own twist to the topic. Not only is it an advantage but i think everyone who has or is making a film should at least look and find references similar to your idea. With the beginning of my research for references i started off by looking up movies with abusive relationships/ domestic violence. The first example of this that caught my eye was a film called "A Vigilante", It was about a woman who was in a very abusive relationship wither her husband and escaped. After this experience she made her life goal to rescue other woman in an abusive relationship
Another example of a film with domestic violence is older, but I found it very interesting, and I like the idea of the movie. The movie name is "Dangerous Intentions", In this film its features a woman who try's to protect her daughter and herself from her dangerous husband. I like this plot a lot better than the other movies because is more of the type of idea i was going for , I want to do more like a house scenery and not have it where the character is running all around to to help other escape. This is why i think having a reference is important because it can really strengthen your idea.
