Blog post #1 - project idea

Hello, This is my first blog post for my aice media studies final project, i have never thought about what i was going to do my project on until these past few days. I have been going through all the genres trying to find the right topic that would fit my personality and what i want to do.I have went back to different movies and shows for references trying to help me decide. Throughout my brainstorming i still am not a hundred percent committed on what i want my project to be on. I know i want my project to be an drama, i started to think about dramas that happen in the real word. The thing that immediately came to my mind was domestic violence in relationships. This is not only a very real but also very serious problem that people go through daily. Domestic violence is not  only a one time thing it can also be reoccurring in relationships.

Domestic violence happens in households and relationships more than you think. 1 in 15 children are exposed to intimate partner violence each year. These facts really opened my eyes to the problem of  domestic violence,Not only did it open my eyes but also made me want to learn and bring awareness to it.This is a very real problem that is not talked about enough in the world, this dosent only effect the people its happening to but also the people around. Kids or adults that experience this usually are afraid of communicating about it. I have seen post on social media about domestic violence awareness and victims, This is a great way to bring attention and awareness to this problem and i want to help. Not only by doing my project on domestic violence will bring attention to the problem but also could encourage victims to speak to someone about whats going on.
