Blog post #4- Lighting research
Hello, welcome to my 4th blog post where i will be doing my research on lighting commonly found in drama films.Last blog i used my research to go in depth on what domestic violence really is. This will help me implement this into my drama film, lighting also really helps with with setting the scene and helping show the genre. This is very common in drama films to show scenery, shadowing, and feelings. Lighting also guides the viewers attention to where they should be looking, to create texture, and creates and atmosphere in the scene. This really helps keep the audiences attention while viewing these movies and shows, There are many examples in drama films like notebook as they were in the rain. The lighting techniques helped understand the scenery with also representing emotions as because of how there in the rain during the day with each other.
Lighting commonly found in dramas are used to the set the tone and emotion of the scene. I will make sure to use this into my film to help the viewers feel emotion and how the characters feel. The lights used are key lights, fill lights help bring brightness to the front from two different sides. These side lights are used to add definition, lights from the side are huge to help add dramatic shadows to the film. knowing will help me with dramatic feel to my film and help it be better overall.
This is a great example of dramatic shadows.
