Blog post # 14 - mise en scene
In my 14th blog post i will be telling you guys about mise en scene and research i did about it .Mise en scene stand for putting on a stage or setting the scene. This means mis en scene talks about everything that is seen in front of the camera. This will include clothes/costumes, lighting, setting, makeup, and props. These are used in every type of media film no matter the genre or theme. I will be using a lot of mise en scene in my film. This is because it creates the visual style and mood, while also controlling the audience sees the film.
While doing my research i really realized how important and used it is in films. Mise en scene reveals the the artistic choices of the film writer while also making it interesting for the consumers. Not only does it just show choices of the film maker but can also convey the theme, and emotions through things such as the makeup, contrast/lighting, and framing, In my film there will be makeup, costuming, lighting and props added to make the film all-round better. Mise en scene is huge in todays media and forever will be.
