Blog post #7 - A Case Study

 Welcome to my7th blogpost, in this blog post my research will be on a case study of domestic violence. This topic can be really sensitive towards some people especially if they know or have experienced a horrible thing such as domestic violence. Domestic violence is a lot more common then you think even if we don't hear about it all the time. Many things can cause domestic violence in a household such as drinking, drugs, stress and others, these are all things that can lead to one putting hands on another. Having this information i knew there is going to be different case studies with different causes of why it was happening. Not only different causes but also different outcomes, some wont be as bad as others when it comes to the domestic violence part.

A famous case study that most people know about but don't know how far it got was Chris brown and Rihanna in 2009. In this case study it stated Chris brown tried to throw her out of a moving car, banged her head against the car door and window. He also proceeded to punch her several times and give her threats saying he's going to beat her when they get home.  This act of domestic violence was very harsh could've ended seriously worst if he wasn't caught. Him doing this and pleading guilty still led to five years of probation and 180 days of community service. Another case study is Dwane Haskins the former quarter back of the pitsburg steelers. In this case he was the victim, him and his wife were headed to a hotel. Inside the hotel they had an argument which led to her punching him and causing him to loose a tooth. This shows that it can happen to anyone in the world anmd anyone can be doing.
