Blog post # 26 - costuming

Welcome to my 24th blog post where i will be talking about the costuming part of my final project. In my film i will use stereotypical clothing to improve and exaggerate the stereotypes of domestic violence. When you think of domestic violence you probably think of dirtier clothes then normal, a guy usually being the one with all the power and causing a victim to be hurt. This is a very common stereotype amongst this theme and i will be using this to help get my topic across for the audience of ,y film.

character 1 - A man with older looking clothes, they need to look more dangerous then the victim. I will makes him be more powerful through the way he looks, moves, and acts.

character 2 - A cleaner more put together woman, scared and frightened of the man. This will make the stereotype more realistic and make it more put together for the audience to understand what's happening.

Since costuming is important every type of film i will make sure to use good costuming to allow my viewers to have a better perception of what the scene is about. Costuming is how a character looks, but it is also how they carry their self's. With this costuming is a very good way to show a message and theme without having today anything. I will use this to my advantage when filming.
